Hi everyone,

I’m Jaden Jurvakainen, owner of Northern Steam.

I grew up in the small community of Cokato, Minnesota, where saunas have always been part of the culture. Around here, most people either have a sauna or know someone who does. It’s where people unwind after a long day, warm up in the winter, and spend time with friends and family.

The photo here is of me with my wife and two little girls. Building saunas is something I take a lot of pride in, but being a dad is by far the best job I’ve got. The other photos are a few of our favorite Northern Steam builds.

What started as a personal interest in building saunas quickly turned into something I realized people truly value. There’s something special about creating a space where people can slow down, relax, and enjoy time together.

Since the beginning, every sauna we build has been approached with the same mindset: building it with the care, pride, and attention to detail as if it were going in my own backyard.

Today, Northern Steam has grown into a Minnesota sauna company focused on building high-quality outdoor saunas designed to last and be enjoyed year-round.
